10.12.22 — Welcoming The V2 Genesis Period | Dev Diaries #1

Hello everyone, Arthur Blair here. I’m skipping the introduction for now and jumping straight to the sweet part.

This is the first dev diary ever for Helena. From now on, we’ll start to share development updates: improvements, challenges, fixed bugs, achievements — anything to inform you about what we’re up to. And we promise to make it sound as minimally corporate as possible.

That being said, let’s kick it off.

Exactly one week ago, the brand-new Helena website and the Helena V2 app were released. Our main purpose was to meet your expectations by delivering a user-friendly, sufficiently informative, and critical-bug-free app/website. Although releases are chaotic in nature, it was quite a contained one. And it’ll only improve from now on, hopefully with your feedback too. Also, I want to thank Crylar for his help during this whole process.

WINGS Multiplier was the first unlocked feature of V2, and it surpassed 50% of the target amount (50,000 Total Power) in one week already. Now as we’re polishing up WINGS Rush, I’d suggest you read the whitepaper and get yourself ready.

We encountered only one minor issue with the Multiplier thanks to Vet_Mug’s initial finding. We updated the whitepaper and the app message accordingly, and I want to share it here as well.

”If you Buy Power again after your initial deposit, your last 3-day earnings in the inventory will reset. However, the team will airdrop these unclaimed earnings to your wallets to incentivize successive deposits further. Also, players do not have to take any action to get their airdrops. The team will periodically check the deposit actions and perform related shipments.”

If you come across such technical issues, be it on the app or the website, you can always report them on the report-bug channel. And obviously on general chat as usual if it’s an urgent one. We’ll prioritize them depending on their impact and take action accordingly, and we’ll either inform you or you’ll see it fixed soon enough.

I think I can introduce myself now.

I’m Arthur Blair. I started working for the Nemesis network in early May this year. I’ve been a software developer for almost 15 years now. Although I’m relatively new in Web3 with one year of experience, it does feel longer thanks to the crazy pace. Such as that BNB Chain exploit the previous week. Give it a couple of weeks, and it feels like years away. All these simply prove how early we are. Anyway, I’m excited to be a part of this brilliant team as well as the awesome community and looking forward to showing you what I can bring to the table.
